New chair, directors join Chamber board
The San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce has elected long-time local business owner, former City Councilmember and former City Planning Commissioner John Ewan as chair of the 2010 Board of Directors. Ewan is owner and president of Pacific Energy Company, a local solar and alternative energy retailer that he founded 1980.

There’s a new addition to the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center: a 65-inch high-definition LCD Sharp Aquos television accompanied by a video about San Luis Obispo that was produced by the Chamber.

SeaCrest Resort names new general manager
Roger Corwin, a local hotel industry veteran, has been installed as the new General Manager of the SeaCrest Resort, the recently renovated 158 rooms and suites, five-acre beachfront hotel, located on the Pismo Beach Bluffs. Read more
Attention to detail leads to success for PODS franchises
Three local PODS (Portable On Demand Storage) franchises in Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo owned by Steve Yapp take a neighborhood approach to serving its customers. Ninety-two percent of its business is by referral and word-of-mouth, Yapp says. Read more

The French Hospital Medical Center (FHMC) Foundation is proud to announce the establishment of a Cardiac Care Endowment Fund with a gift of $500,000 by a donor who wishes to remain anonymous. Read more
