The Foundation for the Performing Arts Center and the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce invite you to a very special Good Morning San Luis Obispo.*
On Jan. 27, the Chamber will devote its monthly breakfast program to celebrating the past, present and future of the Performing Arts Center.
This season marks a major milestone for San Luis Obispo County – the 25th Anniversary of the Foundation for the Performing Arts Center. Founded in 1986 by Warren Sinsheimer, the Foundation for the Performing Arts Center (PAC) led the charge to build a world-class performing arts venue for the Central Coast to enjoy. Ten years later, the Performing Arts Center opened its doors, and has brought the arts to life for more than 1.5 million children and adults in the community.
Looking back, we cannot forget how it all began and how it continues today with a remarkable partnership between the City of San Luis Obispo, Cal Poly University and the community through the efforts of the Foundation for the Performing Arts Center.
For this special Good Morning San Luis Obispo program, the Chamber will look at how this one building and the attention it brings to the arts has helped shaped the community, brought people closer together and exposed this small town to a larger world. The program will also include special performances by local arts groups who perform in the center.
