View in browser Help us recognize a local leader for exceptional service to the community The San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for the business organization’s most prestigious honor and the only award given at the Chamber’s Annual Dinner: the Citizen of the Year Award. The nominee must be any person who either lives or works in the San Luis Obispo community.  Nominees generally demonstrate an unselfish involvement in the community that is not job-related.  The nominator must be a member of the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce.  Current Chamber Board of Directors and staff are not eligible.  Couples are not eligible.  The award cannot be presented posthumously.  The deadline to nominate is Nov. 18 by 5 p.m. Finalists are chosen by Chamber volunteers, and the winner is chosen by the Chamber Board of Directors. The award recipient’s identity will be kept closely guarded until it is announced by this year’s sponsor, RRM Design Group, and last year’s Citizen of the Year Award recipient Greg Hind at the Chamber’s Annual Dinner on Jan. 21, 2012.
