Job Title: Visitor Information Specialist
We are currently looking for an Information Specialist to join our Visitor Center staff to greet visitors and give out information on various attractions, activities, lodging, restaurants and much more! This is a unique opportunity for hands-on experience in a professional environment. Responsibilities include:
-Assist visitors
-Knowledge of San Luis Obispo County a must
-Refer Chamber of Commerce member businesses
-Sell merchandise
-Enter events in the computer and update event board
-Bulk mailings
-Answer phone calls and e-mails
-Ability to left 40lbs or more
-Deliver special projects
-Great customer service skills
The Visitor Center is open seven days a week 362 days a year w/hours ranging from 10- 5 (Sun-Wed) and 10-7 (Thurs-Sat).
We are hiring for a part time employee approximately 15-25 hours per week @ $9.00 an hour.
To be successful in this position:
Friendly attitude with great people skills. PC literate (experienced with Word, Excel and Outlook)
